Caragh Seal Quarter-Final Spot with Thrilling Win over Carbury

Our Senior Team continued their remarkable season with a nail-biting victory over Carbury last weekend, securing top spot in their group and booking a direct place in the Kildare Senior Football Championship Quarter-Finals. The game, played in front of a lively crowd, finished Carbury 0-15, Caragh 0-16.
The stakes were high, with both sides pushing hard for the win, and from the throw-in it was clear this was going to be a game decided by the finest of margins. Carbury showed their quality in attack, but the lads matched them stride for stride, displaying the determination, teamwork, and resilience that has been the hallmark of this campaign.
With the scoreline level heading into injury time, it looked like the game might end all square. But cometh the hour, cometh the man — up stepped Darragh Swords, who coolly slotted over the winning point to spark scenes of joy among players, mentors, and supporters alike.
This win comes hot on the heels of Caragh already securing Senior status with their previous victory over Confey — a brilliant achievement in its own right. Now, with a Quarter-Final clash against Athy on Saturday 20th in St. Conleth’s Park, the excitement around the club is building.
The performance was a true team effort, with every player leaving it all on the pitch. This squad has worked tirelessly throughout the year, and results like this are a testament to that hard work and commitment.
Adding further to the sense of occasion, the game was chosen as the Aviva Game of the Week on Clubber TV, showcasing just how thrilling and high-quality the contest was.
Well done to all the players, management, and supporters — Caragh GFC marches on, and we can’t wait to see the team back in action in the Quarter-Final!
